What's Holding you Back
This is a big question, maybe the biggest and the most impactful question you could ever ask yourself. You have your goals, and things that you desire in your life and at times you work towards them, At times things are flowing and moving in the right direction. You are focused, feeling good, confident, full of energy and have a love for life. Maybe you want to loose weight or go after that dream job you have always wanted. You decide to go after it and your doing great, until……..
Sound familiar? Why is loosing that 10 pounds, getting that dream job, or having that Rom Com worthy relationship so elusive.
It is because we are pinching ourselves off from it. Yup its time to get real. Everything we have in our life we are creating and everything we do not have we are pushing away. The thoughts we think have power, the things we tell ourselves over and over again have power. What we believe to be true has so much power. So much power that it is responsible for the reality that we are currently living.
That job you hate, you asked for it. Your soul mate is ready and waiting for you, but you are pushing them away. Oh and that 10 pounds, you are holding onto it. What you ask for you receive! What you think you deserve, you receive! What seems so far away is! All because of the thoughts you think. You see the universe and the law of attraction is very literal. What you think about is what shows up. Maybe you were raised to think you are supposed to hate your job and that’s just the way it is, well that is just the way it is for you. If you focus on the fact that your soul mate is never coming, guess what you are keeping him/her away by focusing on him/her not showing up. If you think you cannot loose the weight. Guess what? Your not going to loose the weight. What you ask for, you receive, period.
Ok so now that we know that our thoughts create our reality, it should be easy to create the life of your dreams! Right? Just change your thoughts and your thought patterns and your whole life will change! I so wish for all of us that is was that easy. When I listen to Abraham & Hicks they sure make it sound easy. Well sometimes I think a lobotomy would be easier. We think a million thoughts a day, and so much of what we think has been programmed in us since childhood. They were passed on to us from other well meaning people with their own set of baggage they carry in the from of limiting beliefs, negative thought patterns, and insecurities that held them back. Someone told us we were X and we believed it and carried it around with us throughout our lives. Since we believed it to be true we created a life around that thought, we saw things that verified it, confirmed it and it became our story.
I grew up with a sister who was smart, seriously smart and I was well.. good at other things. So the story I told myself was “I am not smart”. I believed it, I lived it and every time I got a grade back it was confirmed. I was telling the universe I am not smart and it was delivering to me exactly they way I asked for. It wasn’t until I dug a whole so deep in my own story that I failed out of college my junior year and had a decision to make. I could have kept going with this story that was really not serving me at all or I could let it go, step up and realize my potential. If your wondering I finished college and I am proud of the new story I have created for myself.
So if you are ready like I was all those years ago to let go of that story that no longer serves and what is holding you back from reaching your true potential. Let do it!!!
Lets change this! Lets all think new thoughts! Lets all be happy, rich and be madly in love!
Step 1. Notice your thoughts and become aware of your inner dialog. Maybe start a journal.
Step 2. Laugh at your thoughts. Stop giving these negative thoughts so much power.
Step 3. Create a new thought. Take a moment to bring in a positive thought.
Step 4. If you cannot bring in a positive thought bring in a neutral thought and go from there.
Step 5. Find something that makes you feel good. Go for walk, do yoga, meditate, jog, workout, paint, cook, bake. Whatever you love, do more of it. It will reset your energy so that you can start fresh.
Step 6. Find gratitude. Take a moment each day to feel grateful for all of the blessings in your life. When you feel gratitude you are sending a powerful message to the universe, asking them to send you more of the things you are grateful for.
Step 7. Do the thing. Get on the dating website, apply for the job, workout every morning with me!! Here is your invitation!
Take some time daily to check in with yourself and tune into your energy. Let go of your mind and become mindful of the life you are creating for yourself. You are meant to have everything you desire, we all are! Yoga, meditation, reiki and energy healing has really become my go to for creating the life of my dreams.
