Manifesting Abundance in the New Year
I love the New Year! Not necessarily for the parties or watching the ball drop and truth be told I am known in my house for not always making it to midnight. What I love is the inspiration behind the new year. I love the idea that we can leave the past behind us and set a new intention for our future. It is a point in our lives each year where we can begin again, start over and be whoever and whatever we want to be from that point forward. For may of us 2020 was hard and with so much uncertainty in the world right now the idea of setting a New Years resolution can feel overwhelming. Where do we begin to manifest all of our desires when we are still grappling with the “new normal”. Well friends I will tell you, we begin with our thoughts! We connect inward and look for answer inside ourselves and find our what we truly desire.
Most people that know me know I fell in love with yoga in my early 20’s as a way to heal from anxiety, and an eating disorder. At that time I do not think I truly understood why I loved it so much, I just loved the way it made me feel. Taking time to quiet the mind and connect to myself. It was like I was getting to know myself for the first time on my yoga mat. As my yoga practice grew deeper I became curious about what was beneath the surface of this amazing practice. Yes physical fitness feels good and there are so many health benefits to any kind of exercise but I was curious about what made this different. I began to study reiki with Erin Whiting which really led me to shift my thinking. One of my biggest realization was the understanding that my thoughts have power. What I give my attention to and what energy I allow in my life directly effects what is showing up in my life. Up until that point it was so easy to blame others for things that happened in my life instead of taking responsibility for the energy I am putting out into the world and receiving back. I was playing the victim in my own life. I then began to explore how connecting to my intuition (my inner compass) can help guide me to the life that is meant for me. I took a psychic and intuitive certification course from James VanPraagh. This taught me that the answer to all your desires start from within. We are all on our own unique spiritual path and when we connect within and live our life from that place the life that is meant for you will unfold before your eyes. This sounds easy, right? Well sure if you find it easy to let go of outside influences, comparisons, self doubt, fear and you know just about everything we are taught up until this point.
Have you ever had a day that starts off with your alarm clock not going off, then traffic on your way to work, a meeting you forgot, a stain on your shirt and on and on? Once your mind and attention is on what a bad day it is, guess what you have a bad day. Now this happens to us all, its nothing to get angry about, that will only make things worse. Rather take a moment to shift the energy by reaching for a better thought, a walk, a nap, or a yoga class/meditation. Something that interrupts the flow of energy that currently has momentum so that you can begin again. This is the essence of what yoga was doing for me. During the physical movement of a yoga class I was tuning into my subtle body (energy body). That practice allows me to let go of my current dialog, the stories I was creating at that time. Let go of outside energies I allowed to attached to me and feel an openness, a space that allows for a new flow of energy. An energy I have the power to set. I have the power to set my energy and feel the way I want to feel. I have to power create my life. Now this is not something that happens in one class, It is like a muscle you have to continue to work. I come to my mat everyday to set my energy for the day. I respond to situations that happen in my life rather than react to them.

Yoga for manifesting abundance 2 class series.
In the first class we focus on tuning into our subtle body or energy body during practice to clear and cleanse any resistance. By letting go energetically to anything you have been holding on to, you can reset your energy and begin again. Past pain, negative thought patterns and energy that we have absorbed from others We use a vigorous physical asana to warm up the body and let go of the mind. When you are moving at a decent pace, one breath one movement it resets a busy mind. When we slow down it allows for space to tap into the felt experience, let go and feel open. We finish by strengthen our aura to radiate out positivity and feel in to our energy. Repeating this class for a week and feel the shift in your energy.
In the second class in this series we focus on getting into a state of receptivity and calm. We feel how we are exactly where we need to be in our lives and that everything is unfolding just as it should. Everything that is meant for you will come to you. There is never any need for fear or worry, the universe has it all under control. We will put our intentions out to the universe, let go how it comes to us and sit back and let the universe go to work for us. This is so we can be open and receptive to attracting abundance into our life. Finally we bring in gratitude, when we feel grateful for what we already have in our life it make us magnets for our desires.
Whatever this year has in store for you I hope you create all your desires and have an amazing 2021. Here are a few manifesting tips to get you started.
Set you energy first thing in the morning: Every morning before you get out of bed list what you are grateful for. Close your eyes and for a few moments before you have any interactions with anyone else, connect to yourself and your own energy.
Pay attention to how you feel: Throughout your day bring awareness to how you feel in situations. When you feel yourself being triggered or pulled out of your own energy take a moment to reset. Take a walk, take a breath and begin again.
Make how you feel your number one priority: As you master paying attention to how you feel make feeling good a priority. This is an amazing way to start to manifest amazing things in your life. When you are grateful for what you have and you are feeling good you cant help but manifest good things into your life.
Let go of outcomes: End you day with gratitude for all that you have in your life and for all of the amazing things that are on its way to you. Surrender control over to the universe and allow everything that is meant to be to manifest into you life.
